Stories on the Streets: A Morning in Bangalore
As I sat in the auto, weaving through Bangalore’s bustling traffic, I observed so many different lives unfolding around me.
I saw people running behind buses, desperately trying not to be late for work, while students rushed to catch their rides to class. A group of students stood nearby, chatting, laughing, and discussing their day, enjoying the little moments before the routine took over.
Daily wage workers waited patiently at bus stops, a security guard peddled his cycle with quiet determination, and a family on a bike carefully balanced everything—both physically and in life. Software engineers stood at every corner, waiting for their cabs or bikes, lost in their own world.
The roads were alive—cars, buses, bikes, and autos filling every possible space. Bikes squeezed into the smallest of gaps, finding their own path instead of waiting for others to move. Sometimes, if we keep waiting for the perfect opportunity, we might get left behind. Instead, moving ahead smartly and making our own way forward is what keeps us going.
Amidst the honking and rush, street vendors weaved through traffic, selling fruits, flowers, and other essentials. They moved quickly from one vehicle to another, hoping for a sale before the signal turned green. In just a few moments, they earned their living for the day, their hands full of goods and their eyes full of determination.
Traffic lights flashed red, signalling everyone to slow down, as if reminding them to pause and breathe, even in the rush. On the roadside, people sipped their morning tea, taking a brief pause before diving into another demanding day.
Everyone was working hard—some just to afford a day's meal, some to buy their favourite things, and others striving for a more comfortable life. So many hopes, so many dreams, and so many beautiful hearts moving forward, each carrying their own struggles and aspirations.
Journaling is something I love, and this entry captures my daily experience with Bangalore's morning traffic. Here’s a glimpse of my scrapbook—if you’re interested, take a look! Let me know your thoughts in the comments. ?
